Falling In Love With Fall
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, autumn is by far my favorite season. Yes, I know it gets dark earlier and the weather is cooler – okay, cold – but there are so many more wonderful things to enjoy about this season.
If you live in a part of the country where the leaves change from green to vibrant reds, yellows, and oranges, how can you not be in awe? Almost overnight the leaves in my part of the world have begun their transformation and this wonderful event has not gone unnoticed. I can’t help but smile when I see the beautiful fall foliage. Oh yes, and the fuzzy caterpillars, too.
I also love fall because it’s one of the more romantic seasons of the year. What? You don’t see it? Think of long walks, holding hands, snuggling during the cool evenings. All of the just screams romance.
When the weather gets cooler, the food gets more comforting. Soups, stews, warm desserts with ice cream, yum. I don’t know about you, but the cooler weather brings out the Betty Crocker in me.
Everyone says they hate having to wear bulky sweaters and layers of clothing. Really? Ladies, tell me you don’t like donning a sexy pair of leggings, a cute sweater, and pretty scarf. And the boots! Men, I’d be interested in your thoughts when seeing a woman in a body hugging sweater dress and high heeled boots.
Well, here’s to fresh starts (think school year), pumpkin flavored everything, apple cider, sexy boots, cuddling, sunny days that aren’t accompanied by 98% humidity, relief from allergies, and an extra hour of sleep when we turn back the clocks. Yay fall!
